Matt Jinks is a baker, and very passionate about his craft, using only certified-organic flour. Also, 95% of his baking ingredients are South Australian in origin.

Together with Maryke Buitenga, the marketer of the business, they started Flour Power Breads from a professional bakery on their Aldinga property in 2007, and now produce 20 varieties of bread.

A bread-lover’s dream, Flour Power Breads use only organic olive oil from the Willunga hills. Their Egyptian gold loaf is made from an ancient grain and is ideal for people who are wheat- and/or gluten-intolerant. Other varieties include pasta dura, a continental Italian bread, sourdough white and rye, French sticks, olive loaf, rippers (roasted capsicum and feta, cheese and bacon (free-range, local bacon), pesto, cheese in wholemeal, herb, cheese and garlic), and other tasty treats.

Their sliced multigrain, wholemeal and white breads are perfect for feeding hungry kids healthy breakfasts and lunches.

Pesto and cheese, cheese and bacon, or vegemite scrolls are very popular, as is Flour Power Breads’ delicious sweet treat, a fruit and nut cinnamon scroll made from local almonds and fruit. All the cheese is sourced locally.

Understandably, these mouth-watering breads and treats sell out every week.

Flour Power Breads also sell at the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market and the Victor Harbor Farmers Market.
