Piccolo Espresso

- Piccolo Espresso coffee stall
You will find Piccolo Espresso at the Willunga Farmers Market every Saturday
Product line: organic and fair-trade coffee bean blends (freshly-brewed or in take-home packs), organic teas and infusions, drinking chocolate, Willunga almond biscotti, Piccolo Espresso carrot cake, gluten-free treats such as lemon risotto puddings, rich chocolate and almond cake, and Willunga almond and polenta cake
A stall which sells quality coffee, teas, chocolate and sweet treats would have to be one of the busiest on Market day. Jen Hanna’s Piccolo Espresso is it, every Saturday morning at the Willunga Farmers Market.
Her highly-trained staff are in demand delivering a delicious product to satisfy their customers’ caffeine cravings. So it’s no surprise that Piccolo Espresso is an award-winning café (Barista Challenge), which sells award-winning organic fair-trade coffee. Purchase your own pack and brew your own aromatic heart starter.
Other refreshing drinks include organic teas, Willunga chai (contains roses and almonds!), loose-leafed infusions and luscious creamy, hot chocolate (iced in summer), using only Fleurieu milk.
Piccolo Espresso’s sweet treats consist of home-made cakes and biscuits baked in Jen’s Willunga kitchen every week. Using mostly local and organic ingredients, they disappear quickly every Market morning.
Jen’s Willunga almond biscotti are made from a traditional Italian recipe and her eight carrot cake is moist and highly sought after, the recipe coming from a Parisienne restaurant.
Piccolo Espresso’s gluten-free range includes a rich, dark chocolate and almond cake, a polenta and Willunga almond cake, and a lemon risotto pudding which Jen created from memory after tasting one in Tuscany.
Originally a foundation committee member with a passion for coffee, Jen’s Piccolo Espresso has grown to employ three staff and has trained many local youth.
