You will find Fox Creek Wines at the Willunga Farmers Market every two months

Product line: single varietal wines from Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot; blends of Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon (Shadow’s run), Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot (Duet), Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon-Cabernet Franc (JSM), Shiraz-Grenache-Mourvedre; a sparkling Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon-Cabernet Franc (Vixen). The white wines produced are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Verdelho.

Fox Creek’s first wine, a 1994 Shiraz, won the Bushing Trophy for the best wine at the McLaren Vale Wine Show in 1995.  Multiple successes followed and Fox Creek Wines now has an enviable international reputation. When the old barley and sheep property was bought in 1984 by the Watts family, they were advised against planting vines as the soils were heavy clay. Undeterred they selected and planted quality cuttings and nurtured the young vines. Their labours bore fruit that was converted into excellent wines under the skilled guidance of the winemakers. The fruit for Fox Creek Wines are sourced entirely from grapes grown in the McLaren Vale region and most of them from Fox Creek’s 40 hectares of vineyards near Willunga.

For popular wines in the lower price bracket, Fox Creek Wines uses playful names like 'Shadow's run' and ‘Red Baron’. Then there is the seriously delicious, sparkling Shiraz-Cabernet blend ‘Vixen’, which has been described as liquid Blackforest cake. Be sure to try their Shiraz wines as well.
