Product line: citrus, fruit, dried fruit, pumpkins, sweets, jams and spinach pies
Lina and Sam Kondoprias have been producing fresh foods and tasty treats for the Willunga Farmers Market since 2007.
Based in Monash they have a guest stall at the Willunga Farmers Market, as their produce is not readily available on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Lina’s Greek sweets are a highlight for those with a serious sweet tooth for fine-quality desserts. All ingredients are from SA and the eggs are free-range.
They consist of:
- honey-dripped baklava (cigar shaped or the traditional square)
- a sour cherry strudel
- koulouria (coffee biscuit)
- galaktobouriko (semolina-based custard pastry)
- kourabiedes (short pastry)
- coconut and orange cake
- almond and orange cake (dairy- and gluten-free)
- melomakarona (honey biscuit)
- kataifee (shredded pastry with walnuts, cinnamon, cloves and vanilla sugar filling with syrup over the top) and
- an Italian tiramisu.
Lina’s jams include her popular fig jam made to a very old family recipe with almonds and ginger, and a dried apricot jam.
The one savoury treat is the tasty spinach, ricotta and fetta pie.
Fruit and vegetables brought fresh from their farm include:
- Citrus: oranges, mandarins, lemons, grapefruit.
- Stone fruit: apricots, nectarines, plums.
- Sundried fruit: pears, apricots, sultanas, peaches, prunes – all have sulphur except the prunes and sultanas.
- Pumpkins: butternut and Japanese.
- Fruit: watermelon, rockmelon and honey dew.
Their farms use drip irrigation to conserve water and the trees are not sprayed.
You can also find Lina Kondoprias’ produce at the Adelaide Showground Farmers Market.
