Lacewood at the market

You will find Lacewood at the Willunga Farmers Market every Saturday.

Product line: sauces, pickles, pestos, mustards and jams

Lacewood’s quality product lines run to 10 different sauces, pickles, mustards, jams and pestos, including the extremely popular and award-winning wild lime, ginger and chilli sauce. Another award winner is the tasty basil and macadamia mustard.

Run by Robyn Holder, ingredients picked fresh for Lacewood’s many products mostly come from her McLaren Flat orchard. These include apricots, apples, plums and quinces. And it’s in Autumn when quinces make their appearance. This old-fashioned but highly sought after fruit is then turned into a mouth-watering quince butter and quince paste.

Other fresh ingredients used in Lacewood products are sourced locally where possible, such as Willunga plums, olive oil, honey and basil.

This McLaren Flat cottage industry is run from Robyn’s commercial kitchen, which also has packing and storage facilities on site.

Purchased eight years ago, Lacewood products are now sold weekly at the Willunga Farmers Market as well as wholesale to shops and wineries in South Australia and interstate.
